Local Area

Situated in Gorran, on the beautiful south coast of Cornwall, Treveor Farm is the perfect base from which to explore the countless attractions that this region has to offer. We are blessed with too many beaches to choose from – all within a mile or two of the site – and the local countryside is criss-crossed with footpaths which meander through the countryside invariably leading to stunning scenery.

The local village of Gorran is a mile away and features a well stocked shop, and a short walk further on is the beautiful Gorran Haven with it’s safe, sandy beach and  harbour.  There are numerous cafes, a shop/bakery, fish and chip shop and pub all in Gorran Haven as well as churches and a wealth of local history.

The other local beaches of Hemmick, Vault and Caerhays (with it’s stunning white castle in the background) are all beautiful with clear blue sea and fine sand –  Hemmick and Vault generally prove to be less busy as there are no facilities, but all are popular on those hot summer days.

For more hustle and bustle, why not visit the local fishing port of Mevagissey, just a 10 min drive away and full of cafes, shops and all the atmostphere of a working fishing harbour.  Buy the freshest fish from the local fishermen and bring it back to BBQ later in the day!

For those with a penchant for Gardens we are only  5 mins from the historical and beautiful Lost Gardens of Heligan.  Discovered only a decade or so ago, these gardens have been faithfully restored to their former glory and are now world renowned for what they have achieved.

Further afield we have the famous Eden Project, Charlestown (used for filming in many historical tall ships films), St Mawes and Truro all within half an hours drive.
